COURSE OUTLINE : This is designed specifically for persons who have very little or no experience using computers. This course provides a general introduction to computers and the World Wide Web. Emphasis will be placed on computer literacy topics such as hardware, software, input, output operating systems, applications software, etc. This course is suitable for students who wish to use the computer as a tool for problem solving.

The course consists of 4 modules. In this first module, we will dig into a basic understanding of computers and how they work. The second module gives an introduction to using the Internet and the World Wide Web, and in the third module, we will look at communicating on the web.
